The Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician is an important position to the company that is both project and daily task focused. Typical activities include assisting in correcting production deficiencies in terms of labor and scrap, requisitioning new equipment & supplies, and serve as a go to person for supporting production. Projects include assisting with capital expenditures, organization projects using 5S methods, development of new technologies and processes as well as other duties as assigned. Daily/Weekly tasks can include safety audit & correction, preventative maintenance as well as improving production build documentation through ISO processes.
Must be able to work in a fast pace, changing environment with a positive attitude each day. The position is highly visible in the organization and requires excellent communication skills and “internal customer service”. Problem solving and trouble shooting skills a must!
Ability to work for remote supervisor, work on and lead teams, and excellent people/communication skills are highly desirable.
Successful candidate will have a positive attitude, a thirst for learning and problem solving technical and process problems. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work independently and on a team. Background in manufacturing preferred. A 2 year technical degree or equivalent desired.
